Here at Pleasanton Smiles, we want you to have as much information as possible about your dental care and understand all of the options you have available here. We're happy to explain any of our services in further detail if you need clarification.
Do I need to visit the dentist if I don't notice any issues?
You don't have bleeding gums, bad breath, or tooth pain, and we want to keep it that way! At your regular dental visits, we remove tartar buildup that you simply can't reach with a toothbrush or floss. We will also examine your gums and look between your teeth.
Sometimes, small problems like fractures or early-stage gum disease don't manifest until they've reached an advanced phase. Regular dental visits can prevent the need for a filling, crown, replacement tooth, or gum surgery in the future. In addition, regular dental visits will help remove surface stains and freshen your breath – who doesn't want that?
Do you see patients who are afraid of the dentist?
Absolutely. Patients can feel ashamed of their fear or the condition of their teeth. We have a special interest in helping people who haven't had access to dental care.
Our nonjudgmental team will respect your personal needs, and we offer oral conscious sedation to encourage a relaxed visit. Ask about our pediatric dentist availability when you visit us.
